Hi, I’m Matt Coutts, the Program Manager, Agriculture at Whipcord. I grew up in Kindersley, SK working on my family’s farm and am excited to continue my career in agriculture with Whipcord.
Hey! My name is Jessie Carpenter and I’m here to help Karla crunch the numbers as the newest addition to the Accounting Team; I’m closing in on my third month at Whipcord and am so happy to be here. I like to work hard while having fun and Whipcord has given me the ideal work/life balance to achieve that.
Hi, my name is Marianne Loose and I joined the Whipcord team in November 2018. I was born and raised in a small town of 302 people (301 since I moved), nestled in the foothills of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains. Glenwood is not only known as the “cheese town” for its cheese factory and museum, but also for its rich agricultural community. After graduating from high school, I moved to Calgary and it has been home for me ever since.
Hello everyone! My name is Norm Nelson, I joined the Whipcord team as a System Administrator back in July of 2018. I was born and raised in the windy city of Lethbridge, but as someone who isn't a fan of the wind I spent much of my childhood playing around with computers. Since I was always breaking something by pushing each system to it limits, it was a great way to get practical "unintended" IT experience as a kid.
Most technical-backed people from my country dream to settle in Canada, US or Australia and I moved to Saskatoon, SK, Canada in October 2017. It was so cold, especially in November to January and as I experienced -30 to -50 temperatures. I first thought “oh! I made a big mistake getting permanent residency in Canada.”
Nobody at Whipcord would admit publicly that I was hired on my name alone, but Whipcord needed a System Administrator, and upsetting the longstanding Canadian business convention of stabling at least one Dave or David in the company at all times was out of the question. With a name like David Burgess, I was a shoo-in.
Hey everyone! My name is Wilson Acton and I joined the Whipcord team in May. I’m originally from the “Lord’s Rectangle” – Saskatchewan, and grew up driving a tractor under the large prairie skies on a farm south of Moose Jaw.
Hey everyone, my name is Jana Hackman and I'm a new member to the Alberta Sales Team at Whipcord. Like most people I've met out west, I'm a transplant to Calgary as I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario (Lake of the Woods).
Hi, my name is Karla Ginter, and I crunch the numbers here at Whipcord. I was born and raised in southern Manitoba, and thus, am well versed in swatting mosquitoes and shovelling enormous drifts of snow. The mountains called my name for enough years that when presented the opportunity for a transfer to southern Alberta in 2002, my husband and I jumped at it.
Summer got away from us, but I’d like welcome our new staff members! We've had a really exciting year as we pursue tomorrow's digital world, and with that growth we're also looking to expand our team. Exciting things are happening at Whipcord - keep an eye out for upcoming announcements!
